The Bunkhouse

Our bunkhouse is situated right next to the Tea Garden and is a great example of how to make a small space work to accommodate up to 7 (friendly) people! In times gone by, farmers would have kept animals in here but we have a human only policy now and have refurbished the place to reflect this.

Sleeping options comprise of two booths each containing bunk beds, with a mezzanine level that has one double bed and a single.

There are full cooking facilities including a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans as well as a sink for dish washing. Cooking essentials like salt and pepper are provided as well as tea and coffee. Mind and bring some milk!

We provide a selection of games and books for your entertainment as well as some speakers that connect to any phone or mp3 player.

We realise that even for short stays there may be too much luggage to carry on the walk down to us. We're happy to help arrange a pick up of bags and sometimes people outside the busy cafe hours.

Dogs

We’re a fan of dogs and they are welcome to stay in the bunkhouse, ideally with their owners, but we do request that dogs unaccustomed to sheep be kept on a lead. This is particularly important during the lambing season that starts in mid March and lasts for a few months. The farmers are lovely people and they’d appreciate this very much.
